Gwinnett County goes 3-2 in the 2014 Corky Kell Classic.  Three of the games are being called by many as “3 of the best games, if not the 3 best games in the 23-year history of the classic.”  Top ranked Archer High School falls to the 4A number 2 team, Sandy Creek 21-13.  The game came down to the last play, in the last moments of the fourth quarter, as the potential game tying touchdown pass was deflected and intercepted in the end zone with no time on the clock.

After losing a 14 point lead, Norcross High School defeated Tucker in overtime.  Tucker tied the game 29-29 with less than 2 minutes remaining, but Norcross was able to drive back down the field and attempted a game-winning field goal at the buzzer, that fell short.  In overtime, Norcross kicker, Blake Bingham , connected for the go ahead field goal, which was followed by Tucker fumbling the ball on their first play in overtime.

In the final game, North Gwinnett outlasted the home standing McEachern Indians in a 52-49 thrilling shootout.
