Gwinnett Parks Hiring Certified Lifeguards for the Summer
Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation Aquatics Section has five year-round aquatic centers and four summers season pool, with a total of seventeen bodies of water. There are a variety of different amenities including indoor and outdoor water parks and lap pools. These facilities boast giant waterslides, diving boards, kid play structures, water sprays, and picnic areas.
A variety of programming is conducted at the centers including swim lessons, water aerobics, scuba, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, lifeguard training, swim instructor training, therapy, and open swim. During the winter months, there are usually one hundred fifty lifeguards on staff which increases to almost three hundred fifty in the summer months. The county lifeguards have won many state lifeguard competitions over the years and are currently the 2013 Champions.
The Aquatics Section is hiring lifeguards and swim instructors for summer season 2014. During a calendar year, more than 418,000 people will visit the pools and more than 132,000 people take aquatic classes and lessons. Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation Aquatics houses national award winning facilities that are enjoyed by residents year-round.
