Walk Georgia increases physical activity for individuals or teams
Take a virtual walk across the state by signing up for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service’s Walk Georgia program. Walk Georgia is a 12-week program beginning February 1 that helps you increase physical activity and develop more active habits. Sign up through March 10and report everything that gets you moving. You can include anything from a walk around the block, gardening, or playing a game of pick-up basketball.
Logging all your activities adds up the miles, allowing you to chart a virtual course across Georgia and learn facts about the state’s 159 counties. The program is completely free and you may register as an individual or a four-person team. Either way, you’ll have fun as you get fit! Go towww.walkgeorgia.org
