The North Gwinnett All Stars will challenge the Harlem Legends

On Saturday, March 22, 2014 fans of all ages will be treated to an evening of basketball entertainment when the Harlem Legends Basketball Entertainers takes on The North Gwinnett All Stars. There will be a Basketball Clinic beginning at 3:00pm and Showtime begins at5:00pm at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee GA.
Harlem Legends are led by former Harlem Globetrotter Michael Douglas. He has traveled to over 100 countries entertaining crowds, sharing a positive attitude and embracing diversity.
The Harlem Legends consist of various professional athletes, including former players of the Harlem Globetrotters, NBA, NFL, USA Olympians, and other professional athletes. Along with Douglas the Legends who will participate are Former Harlem Globetrotters, Larry “Shorty” Coleman, Tyrone” Hollywood” Brown, Elbert “Tree” Gordon, Robert Wallace, along with announcer and NBA great Mike Glenn.
The Michael Douglas Youth Foundation offers this game as a fund raiser to help in their efforts to raise funds for their upcoming basketball camps and scholarship program.
The North Gwinnett All Stars will be comprised of Gwinnett County personalities such as Suwanee Mayor Jimmy Burnett, Suwanee Councilman Dan Foster, former Sugar Hill Mayor Gary Pirkle, Suwanee Police Officer of the year Officer McCoy, Anthony Bryant representative of Duluth Park & Rec, Rockdale Firefighter James White, Riverside Elem Asst. Principal Brent Salvage, Avery Solomon with People2People along with others.
These North Gwinnett All Stars have agreed to an evening of fun and entertainment while they may just find themselves being outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted by the Harlem Legends. While the Legends may have a lot of fun at their opponent’s expense, they take their game and their mission seriously; they are a team of outstanding athletes who bring with them a complete package of excitement, laughter, and community, wrapped up in a flying slam dunk.
The Harlem Legends strive to bring communities together and the show activities are fun, positive and family oriented.
