Run the Reagan, some people call it, “Gwinnett County’s Premier Road Race” will host a Half-marathon, 10K, 5K, or Fun-Run. Celebrating over a decade of success, the Reagan Race and Festival will be held on February 16th. Awards will presented at the Finish Line Festival where there will be no shortage of entertainment, music, food, moon walks, and fun games.
Gwinnett Community Clinic was created in 1989 by members of the local medical community in order to offer some reprieve for families in Gwinnett County in need of medical services. Over the course of a year, there will be over 3,000 patient visits to the Gwinnett Community Clinic. Local physicians and nurses volunteer their time to see GCC patients. Community volunteers are also used to expedite patient check-in.
YoungLife is a faith-based organization that since 1941 has been characterized by its commitment to relationships – YoungLife leaders meeting kids on their turf in the interest of friendship. YoungLife works with parents, schools, churches and community groups to tackle the social problems that our teenagers face by offering positive role models, confidence-building experiences, and the tools needed for adolescents to make good choices in order to grow into their God-given potential.
The 2013 Run the Reagan will be held Saturday, February 16th 2013, rain, snow, ice or sunshine. The race features a 1 Mile Fun Run (untimed), a 5K Fun Run/Walk (untimed), a 5K (timed), a 10K (timed) and a Half-Marathon (timed). The times events can be used as a 2013 Peachtree Road Race qualifier.Timed runners who participate in the Half-Marathon, 10K & 5K will be issued a ChronoTrack D-tag to be worn on their shoe during the race.
Race times are as follows: Half-Marathon – 9 a.m. | 10K – 9:15 a.m. | Fun Run – 10:30 a.m. | 5K – 11:00 a.m.
